FAQs
Do the cards reflect the future or only what I am feeling at the time?
This can be both, depending on how good you are are mentally preparing for reading. For more information about this topic, see the "Getting the Best from your Tarot Readings" page.
What are reversals?
Reversals are when you read the cards both upright and upside-down. We would not recommend beginners use reversals at the beginning of their development. Every card has its positives and negatives anyway, so you would be better developing your intuition to see how to read each card.
Am I obsessed with Tarot?
If you start using Tarot cards for every decision, big or small, that you need to make then yes you are obsessed. Everybody that starts using Tarot cards comes up against this and eventually has to make themselves stop. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and make your decisions using your gut instincts. Relying on Tarot for everything is unhealthy.
For example, you meet a new man and immediately out comes your trusty deck to find out all about him. Stop yourself right there! The fun of meeting new people is discovering about them yourself, over a period of time. You could ask about this man and your cards could show possible future conflict. So you think, well I won’t see him again, it’s not worth it and you stop dating him. But he could have been meant for you and the only reason there is so much conflict is because you're both fiery people with a very passionate relationship! So consult the cards but don't let them rule your life. Life is all about chances sometimes.
Do you I need to put the deck back in order every time I read?
No. Your deck will become better shuffled if you just leave them as they are. If you put them back in order each time (called re-ordering) you will find some of the cards stay in sequence no matter how much you shuffle leading you to think your reading is flawed.
